PLN InCo UdelaR
The PLN group at the Instituto de Computación works on the conception and development of efficient systems for automatic treatment of texts, using models and methods from different areas, such as Linguistics, Machine Learning, Knowledge Representation and Mathematical Logics.
Its main research lines include text semantic analysis, considering propositional and extra-propositional features of meaning, syntax processing using clause segmentation, analysis of citation and different discourse enunciators, discourse structure study, discourse markers, information extraction and question answering systems
Most development has been done for the Spanish language, but the group have also worked with French and English languages.
